Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val (Sant Antonin in Occitan) is a commune in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Midi-Pyrénées region in southern France. The celtic name (Condate = confluence) the roman name « Vallis Nobilis » describe a confluence of the little Bonnette river and the river Aveyron (with medieval bridge and very impressive Gorges).

History :

The town occupies a strategic point where the ancient lands of Rouergue, the Albigeois, and Quercy meet.  This explains the importance of the bridge, of the Saint-Antonin Abbey, of the wars of religions, the wealth of the town (to see : the - oldest in France- town hall). Now landlocked in a historic landscape, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val gets its wealth with touristic economy. 

Economy : after weaving, leather work now disappeared, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val has an economy based on public utilities, fine crafts, crafts and trade, water (mineral and sport) and, mainly, tourism (history, nature, sport). 

Presence of Slow Food presidia (address of Slow Food policy and Convivium leader’s name and surname, tel. E-mail) : there is no slow food organization currently (but a very important local and bio production sold on the Sunday market). Some producers and chefs are interested in Slow Food development.
