7th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE ALPINE PROTECTED AREAS
In conjunction with the Protected Areas Task Force of the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention, we would like to invite you to the 7th ALPARC General Assembly.
The event will be held from 20-23 October 2010 in Zernez, Switzerland. The Swiss National Park is located in the heart of the Alps and was founded in 1914, making it the first national park in central Europe. Since its inception, the park has sought to leave Nature to its own devices. That aim remains a priority today. But what happens when we let Nature run wild? The thematic conference entitled "Wilderness and biodiversity: can we leave Nature in the Alps to its own devices?" will be an opportunity to discuss this and similar issues.
