The Festival of Light

The Festival of Light was held on 13 January 2019.

We had entertainment, traditional dancing and storytelling, a workshop for children to make lanterns out of plastic bottles; then a parade to St Mary's Church with community singing there The photograph of 'Mari Lwyd' shows a horse's head - an old Welsh tradition for this time of year, the woman on the right is wearing Welsh national costume The traditional dancers are a group called Tegeingl Tanglers.

Tegeingl is the old name for this region The Mold Pancake Races will be on 5 March Tanwen Spaven is from a Mold independent family business 'Spavens' and they are making the pancakes for the Mold pancake races
