Cittaslow cookies in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie (Poland)

„Manufaktura Nowomiejska” Assosiation was established in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. According to the International Cittaslow Charter this small Cittaslow town wants to promote former, lost crafts such as: pottery, jewelery, confectionery. During the meeting with the Mayor representatives of the association present their ideas and products: gingerbread and buttered cookies with imprinted motifs from the City’s coat of arms and the Cittaslow logotype. 

The Association plans to implement on the main square market, among others: ceramic workshops for children and youth, outdoor paintings, sculpture workshops or jewelery display.

Mayor Józef Blank welcomed the new initiative in the field of promoting cultural heritage among the inhabitants and tourists.
