Pasym (PL) - the first step to become a Cittaslow city

Pasym

Today, November 26, during the XXIX Session of the City Council in Pasym, councilors passed a resolution on the accession to the International Cittaslow Association. Pasym is another small town of ‘good quality of life’ trying to obtain the Cittaslow logo. Resolution of the City Council is the first procedural step on the road to accession to the International Cittaslow Association. The city must prove that it meets a number of criteria in terms of overall quality of life (urban infrastructure, environmental protection, friendly working hours of offices, tourism ....) After verification of self-assessment completed by the city by the Polish National Network of Cittaslow, the decision is taken by the International Association which acknowledges the Cittaslow certificate. At the same time a positive decision must be given by the Polish Foreign Ministry. Polish National Cittaslow Network consists of 12 cities: Barczewo, Biskupiec, Bisztynek, Dobre Miasto, Gołdap, Lidzbark Warmiński, Lubawa,  Murowana Goślina (Great Poland), Lubawa, Olsztynek, Reszel and Ryn. Supporting member is the Self-Government of Warmia and Mazury. The International Association is created by 182 cities in 28 countries around the world.
