SIX NEW VICEPRESIDENTS OF CITTASLOW

ESTABLISHED AT SEOUL ASSEMBLY SIX NEW VICEPRESIDENTS OF CITTASLOW

Due to the growth of the International Cittaslow Association, President Marconi proposed at the last Int’l Coordinating Committee of Tirano(I) to  broaden the Steering Committee, to operate more effectively and to be present in more areas far distant from head office.

At the latest Seoul Assembly, there was ratified a new provisional framework of self-organization. It will be active for one year, until the next Assembly in Poland, June 2011.

The new framework provides for the establishment of six new Vice Presidents as "ambassadors" of President Marconi.

The policymaking body remains the Cittaslow International Coordinating Committee in which participate representatives of all the national Cittaslow Committees already established.

The new Vice Presidents are:

Richard Leibinger, Mayor of Waldkirch D

Arnoud Rodemburg, Mayor of Midden-Delfland NL

bon sohn, Korean National Network KOR

Dag Sorensen, Mayor of Sokndal N

Albetti Roberto, Mayor of  Abbiategrasso I

Angelo Vassallo, Mayor of Pollica I

They join the Vice Presidents already appointed: Andrea Mearns – Councillor of Mold UK, Chiara Rossi - Vice Mayor of S.Miniato I and Antonio Concina - Mayor of Orvieto I. They will constitute a kind of "little parliament" representing the Association worldwide.
