The International Network
The Individual and National Networks
The "slow" philosophy has crossed the national borders very soon.
The wish to live with slower rhytms, discovering and heading for the quality
of life,has introduced the Cittaslow in all Europe.
So it was born an international network of Cittaslow,small centres which decide together to get experiences,starting from a shared code of concrete and verifiable behaviours,paying attention to the good cooking,to the quality of welcome,services and urban scope.
The first foreign network is German,then there are the Norwegian and English
network and recently also the Spanish one.
Polish and Portoguese network are near to the certificate.
In the next March will be inaugurated the Australian network that includes Australia and New Zeland.
How starting a new network
The presuppositions to start
The practice for the adherence are expected by the regulation.
In particular it is necessary to control the adherence request, to pay a visit for pointing out and checking on the requirements to start proceedings
at the admittance.
First of all it is necessary that the cities pay 500.00 euros to the Cittaslow,They have to organize a meeting in the own town to reach at least 3 interested cities and finally they have to guarantee the welcome to the members of the group about the international project.
Moreover it is necessary to individuate a local responsible who collaborates with the working group concerning the international project;to provide for the "translation"of the town parameters together with the governor, individuated by the foreigner responsible,to individuate a specialized structure for certification.
So these Individuated cities will be considerated promoters and will be
admitted to the Cittaslow life,waiting for the beginning of the adherence practice.
